About the Appointment

We strive to see patients as quickly as possible — often with same-week or next-week availability. You will leave armed with information about your condition and a plan to move forward.

We offer a visit where the doctor completes a full body cancer screening and evaluates up to three areas of concern. You will always see our board-certified dermatologist. Schedule permitting, we strive to complete most procedures the same day as your appointment.

What Does Treatment Cost?

We are a private practice that provides dermatology services for a set fee. We do not accept insurance. Visit our pricing page for details or call us with specific questions.

Dermatology FAQs

What is clinical dermatology?

Clinical dermatology is a medical specialty focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. Board-certified dermatologists have completed a rigorous training program, passed a comprehensive exam, and maintain certification through continuing education.

What is direct pay dermatology?

Direct pay dermatology is a model where patients pay for services directly, without going through an insurance company. This allows for more personalized care, transparent pricing, and greater flexibility. Learn more on our Direct Care page.

What is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist?

A board-certified pediatric dermatologist has completed residency in dermatology plus an additional fellowship in pediatric dermatology. This specialized training ensures expert care for a wide range of skin conditions in children.

What is an AAD Fellow?

A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) is a dermatologist recognized for exceptional knowledge, skill, and experience. Fellows are leaders in advancing the science and practice of dermatology.

What should I expect with a full body skin cancer screening?

A full body screening is a thorough examination of your skin from head to toe. The provider uses a dermatoscope to closely examine areas of concern and may take a biopsy of suspicious spots. It is an excellent opportunity to discuss your skin health and prevention strategies.

Why see a board-certified dermatologist vs. a nurse practitioner or PA?

Dermatologists are medical doctors with extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, including completing a medical degree, dermatology residency, and rigorous certification. This specialized training provides a deeper understanding of complex skin conditions and a wider range of treatment options.
